Binfield striker Mitchell Parker has announced his Binfield departure just eight games into the 2024/25 season.
The Moles lost 3-0 at Horndean in the FA Trophy on Saturday but had beaten Badshot Lea 3-1 in the Velocity Cup in midweek with Parker twice on the scoresheet.
The striker hasn’t been shy in front of goal this season, scoring six times for the Moles including four in three FA Cup ties.
Last week, Parker had told Football in Berkshire’s Dave Wright that Binfield manager Ross Weatherstone had been key in persuading him to continue playing for another season: “At the end of the season, Rosco said he wanted to build on that (team’s improvement) and when he asked if I would stay, it was a no-brainer.
“There is a good group of lads here, and they want to learn and improve.”
Parker has previously played for Reading City, Highmoor IBIS, Bracknell Town, Fleet Town, Basingstoke Town, Hartley Witney, Flackwell Heath, Farnborough, North Leigh and Walton & Hersham as well as Portugese side Lousada.
