Neil Baker is home. That’s the message from Farnborough FC after the former Slough Town boss returned to Cherrywood Road.
A statement on the club website said: “Farnborough Football Club are delighted to announce the return of Neil Baker who joins Spencer Day’s First Team Management group.”
Baker spent 10 years as manager of Slough Town, taking the Rebels from Step 4 through to the Vanarama National League South with co-manager Jon Underwood.
That tenure ended last season and after a brief spell with ‘Unders’ at Beaconsfield, Baker took time out of the game.
Baker – who was a Farnborough player before a long spell at Bracknell Town under Alan Taylor – wrote on Twitter: “After a much needed break, looking forward to getting back to the thing I love most!!! My home town club, and a club that has played a big part in my life. I can’t wait to get going.”
