International test for Maidenhead United women

In recent seasons it has been the men’s team who’ve had the odd friendly against a side you might not expect – see Kuwait in 2019 – but now it is the Magpies women getting in on the act.

Maidenhead United Women will play a pre season friendly against Bermuda Women at Holyport FC on Monday 17th July.

This crossover may seem strange from the outside, but Bermuda are currently competing in Guernsey as part of the 2023 Island Games.

At the time of writing, they are sitting on top of their group after back-to-back four nil wins and look set to reach the Semi-Finals.

This fixture will prove a great test for the progression squad from York Road and one that should draw in the crowds from the local area.
