Scott Davies is heading into his first pre-season as manager of Slough Town looking to build a competitive side for the upcoming National League South campaign.

His first signing is Bracknell Town striker Mickel Platt. The 23 year old scored twelve goals in the Robins excellent Southern League Premier South campaign, starring in twenty-two games.

Scott Davies said of his new signing: “Really excited by this signing. Mickel will add real value in attacking areas on the pitch but is also someone that will fit into the group perfectly. Another player with a hunger and desire to kick on and fingers crossed he can do that with us.”

Mickel Platt is the fourth player to leave Bracknell Town this summer after Anthony Cheshire (Weymouth), Jack Dean (Farnham Town) and Darryl Sanders (Farnham Town).

Platt was quick to thank his former club by saying: “Thank you Bracknell Town for the last 3.5 years I’ve spent with you. To the fans that have showed me endless love and support over the years, it means a lot! This club and fan base holds a special place in my heart and I wish you the best going forward.”
