Sandhurst Town face Spelthorne Sports in Fripp-Smith Trophy Final

The Fizzers have won all seven games in the competition

On Saturday, Sandhurst Town will walk out at Farnham Town in the final of the Fripp-Smith Trophy, the competition setup by the Combined Counties League to enable competitive football at the end of the 2020/21 season.

The Division One Fizzers beat Premier Division Badshot Lea 3-0 in the semi final courtesy of goals from Joe Grant and a Max Herbert double.

Both sides had a man sent off, the Fizzers saw Scott Rees dismissed while Badshot’s Raphael Aklobessi also saw red.

Sandhurst topped their group winning all five games against Fleet Town, Frimley Green, Eversley & California, Ascot United and Ash United and the dispatched FC Deportivo Galicia 6-2 in the Quarters.

Spelthorne are in the final after beatin Cobham on the quarters and Abbey Rangers in the semi final, 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

Kick off is 3pm at Farnham Town on Saturday.
