What’s worth seeing locally to make a day of it: What’s worth seeing locally to make a day of it: The High Street – famous for being the location of repatriation ceremonies – has numerous shops, cafes and pubs which are worth a visit and only a 15-20 minute walk from the ground. The historic Town Hall is also situated there. The Stone Poppy monument is around 5 minutes away from the ground.
A little further afield, you have the Swindon Outlet Centre (great for shopping) and STEAM Museum of the Great Western Railway. Both of these are served by the bus routes from the centre of Swindon to Royal Wootton Bassett.
