Bracknell Town were more than competitive in the their first pre season outing against Vanarama National League side Hungerford Town at Larges Lane on Tuesday night.
The Robins fielded a strong looking first eleven making nine changes at half time while the Crusaders made a similar amount.
Hungerford opened the scoring on 39 minutes but the Robins hit back within a minute to level things up before the Crusaders won the game in the second half.
Kai Parton-Edey scored twice for AFC Aldermaston but it wasn’t enough to avoid a 4-2 defeat to Thames Valley Premier Division side Mortimer.
The Atomics boss Kieran Jennings said: “Disappointing result due to some poor defending. Nice football at times but not always in the right areas. Will get better though.”
Elsewhere Combined Counties Premier side Guildford City beat Woodley United 1-0 while Ascot United were beaten 3-0 by another Combined Counties Premier side Walton & Hersham.
Tuesday nights results
