FA Vase winner Harrison Bayley is the latest player to be announced by Reading City as Simon Johnson’s side continue to add experience.
Bayley won the Vase with Thatcham Town in 2018 and has racked up the miles playing in Cyprus as well as closer to home at Bracknell Town and most recently Wokingham Town.
A crowd favourite wherever he has played, Bayley has previous at The Rivermoor when he captained Highmoor IBIS and he will join the experienced Stefan Brown and Ash Artwell at the club.
Renowned as a platform for young players in recent seasons, the Cityzens should be a threat in the Combined Counties League Premier Division North next season as they add experienced heads to their young side.
As well as Bayley, the club have confirmed the additions of Mo Ceesay from Thatcham Town and Sanchez Parkes while George Armstrong has joined from Kintbury Rangers where he was a prolific goalscorer.
Off the pitch, the Cityzens have confirmed Sheldon Baptiste and Mimi Olaide have stepped down from their managerial roles with the under 23 side – which has been renamed Reading City Reserves.
The duo have been replaced by Jake Keegan who joins from Wokingham Town where he was managing the Sumas reserve side.
