Isthmian League South Central Division One side Thatcham Town will be without a key duo who have accepted offers higher up the pyramid.
Manager Yashwa Romeo’s side have been having a solid season – currently 10th – but will finish it without captain Nathan Jones who has joined division rivals Marlow.
Jones played three seasons for the Kingfishers but is now part of Mark Bartley’s Marlow side pushing for promotion to Step 3 via the play-offs. The Blues look a decent bet for the runners-up spot and Jones himself was on the scoresheet on Tuesday night in a 2-1 win at Chipstead.
The other departure is defender Curtis Angell who returned to the club for a second spell at the start of the season from Hungerford Town. Angell was a member of the Kingfisher’s FA Vase winning side.
Romeo though has moved to strengthen his side and has brought in Jay Welch from Ascot United while Callum Willmoth has been named the teams new captain.
Slough Town have seen midfielder Munashe Sundire depart for Vanarama National League North leaders Tamworth following a seven day approach.
Writing on Twitter manager Scott Davies said: “Can’t even pretend that this one doesn’t hurt. Been one of the first names on the team sheet every week since August. A great, great lad and a top player that I’m gutted to be losing but I wish you well.”
Meanwhile Maidenhead United have announced a contract extension for defender Kevin Lokko who will remain with the club until 2025.
