On-loan Reading FC Women attacker Freya Gregory has been recalled by parent FA WSL club Aston Villa.

Gregory was a standout summer loan signing for the Royals and has made 11 appearances, scoring twice in the blue and white hoops.

An England under-23 international, Gregory was on a season-long loan at the Select Car Leasing Stadium but that has been cut short.

In the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace watched by Football in Berkshire in December, Gregory was an impressive second-half substitute that helped the Royals secure a valuable point to close out 2023.
