Combined Counties League Premier Division North side Burnham have lured former Binfield and Ascot United striker Ian Davies out of retirement for 2023/24.

The Blues have been busy announcing a number of signings and returning players and have added Davies and his former Ascot teammate Jonathan Denton who joins from Binfield.

Burnham finished fourth last season and look set to challenge again with the experience added to the ranks this summer.

Davies of course is no stranger to these pages having scored bucketloads of goals wherever he has played.

A couple of other new faces at the 1878 Stadium include Lamin Sankoh and Jenyo Balogun, the latter was part of Reading City’s record-breaking FA Youth Cup run in 2021.
