Reading FC Women made a late addition to their squad in the FA Women’s Super League January Transfer Window in the shape of Easther Mayi Kith.
Mayi Kith is a Canadian born, Cameroonian international defender who has joined the Royals from Swedish side Kristianstads DFF.
The defender played college soccer in her native Quebec before moving to France to play for Montpellier, Metz and most recently Reims.
Mayi Kith is the Royals second player with Canadian roots alongside forward Deanne Rose.
What to expect from Easther Mayi Kith
The defender played nine times for Kristianstads this season before heading to Reading where, subject to a work visa, she’ll be aiming to help her new club climb the table.
Watching several highlights videos, Mayi Kith would appear to predominantly be aright sided defender with great recovery speed, strong in a challenge and able to get the ball forward.
On the signing, Reading boss Kelly Chambers said on the club website: “We’re delighted to welcome Easther to the club, who will provide us with another option in defence. She is someone who can hit the ground running straight away for the second half of the season, as well a long term. I’m really looking forward to working with her.”
