FA Women’s Super League side Reading FC Women have confirmed their first signing of the January Transfer Window.
It is a familiar face returning to the Select Car Leasing Stadium on loan in the shape of midfielder Jade Moore from Manchester United who the Royals narrowly lost out to in a tight encounter in Berkshire on Sunday.
Moore previously played for Reading between 2017 and 2020 when she was one of a trio of new signings who arrived in the Royal County following the sudden folding of Notts County. She arrives with plenty of international experience in the bank, earning 51 England caps and played through the age groups for the Lionesses.
Moore departed Reading in 2020 after almost 50 appearances, moving to America to play for Orlando Pride as well as a loan spell with Atletico Madrid in Spain.
She returned to England in 2022 with Manchester United making nine appearances over the 21/22 and 22/23 seasons. Her return to Reading will certainly bolster the Royals midfield for the run-in with Leicester City in particular showing signs of life at the bottom of the FA WSL.
