Binfield captain Sean Moore has left the Isthmian League South Central Division One side, a club statement has announced.

Moore – made captain by former managers Carl Withers and Jamie McClurg – was a vital part of the side that reached the FA Vase Final and won promotion from the Hellenic League Premier Division. Last season he scored 12 times for the Moles.

A Moles statement said: “Club captain and striker Sean Moore has informed the club that he will be accepting an offer from Southern Premier League side Hanwell Town.”

Hanwell face Slough Town in the FA Trophy on Saturday for which Moore will be cup-tied.

Moore follows fellow Vase finalist Elliott Legg out the door, the full-back rejoining former club Bracknell Town.

On Saturday, Binfield play their first game without their captain at Southall in the Isthmian League South Central Division One. The game will be played at Ashford Town (Middlesex)’s ground.
