Midfielder Scott Rees has announced his departure from Southern League Premier Division South Bracknell Town.

The popular Rees was one of former boss Bobby Wilkinson’s first signings on taking over the Robins and Rees was on the bench for Monday nights historic FA Cup First Round Proper defeat to Ipswich Town.

Rees – who won the Isthmian League South Central Division One title with the Robins – said: “I’d like to thank everyone at Bracknell Town but my time has come to an end. We went through covid together, smashed records on our way to the league title last year and got to the FA Cup First Round Proper. I’m gonna miss every player, brothers for life, and the fans, wow.”

The midfielder has played for a number of clubs locally including Reading Town, Hungerford Town and Thatcham Town, joining the Robins from the Kingfishers in 2020.
