FA Women’s Super League side Reading FC Women have announced the return of popular full-back Becky Jane for a second spell at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

The Royals announced the news on Wednesday night that Jane would return following the expiry of her contract at Charlton Athletic.

Jane – who originally joined Reading in 2011 before heading to Liverpool in 2019 – was a key part of the Royals side that earned a promotion to what was then the WSL 1 – now simply the FA WSL.

The full-backs return is the second signing of the summer for Reading following the addition of USA defender Brooke Hendrix from Melbourne Victory as well as the extended contracts awarded to Lily Woodham, Tia Primmer and Deanna Cooper.

Heading out on loan though is Chloe Peplow who is one of 15 signings at promotion-hopeful Championship side Crystal Palace.
