Reading City announce signings including Binfield defender

Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division North side Reading City have been busy announcing a host of re-signings ahead of the 2022/23 season.

As well as players, Simon Johnson has promoted the clubs reserve team management of Kieran Jennings and Jamie Williams to his first team management staff.

However, the big new-signing at the Rivermoor side so far this summer is Binfield defender Phil Veal who has signed on for the 2022/23 campaign.

Veal was part of the Moles squad that reached the FA Vase Final at Wembley in 2021 and will join former Binfield teammate Jemel Johnson in Reading.

As well as Veal and club captain Johnson, the Cityzens have confirmed a slew of signings from last seasin including Dan Davies, Ellis Cowd, Tyler D’Cruz and Joe Waight as well as Leyton Basterfield and youngster Sam Tanner.
