Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division South side Guildford City have reportedly signed up Ascot United’s top-scorer Harry Laflin.
The Surrey side announced the news prior to their 1-0 defeat to Horley Town.
Guildford appointed a new manager this week in former Aldershot Town goalkeeper Nikki Bull. The club website stated that Laflin’s signing came after the new City boss previously signed The forward on dual-registration terms with his former club Leatherhead.
A club statement said: “Laflin, 24, an attacking midfielder has scored 29 goals this current season and will look to continue his excellent goal scoring form in Guildford colours. Harry already has familiarity playing under the manager with Bull signing the midfielder for Leatherhead FC in 2021 on dual registration.”
Ascot United manager Jamie Tompkins said: “It’s confirmed, Harry moved to Guildford City on Friday after a seven day approach. After 81 goals in 139 games for the club, we thank him for his commitment and contribution over the last four seasons and I’m sure we will see him back in the future.”
