Reading Women defender Kristine Leine has revealed via an instagram post that she will not be a Reading Women player next season. The Norweigian international has been an imposing figure at the back for the club this term.
Her exit follows on from the departures of Fara Williams (retired), Angharad James (North Carolina Courage) and Jess Fishlock (end of loan back to Seattle Reign) and leaves Reading boss Kelly Chambers with a busy task of rebuilding her squad this summer.
Leine’s solitary goal for Reading was part of a sensational comeback from two goals down to defeat West Ham United when Reading were down to ten players. Her destination is still not known but it appears a move back to Norway could be on the cards.
