Kiera Skeels has made a season long loan move to Bristol City. She made her Reading FC Women first-team debut back in 2019, during a Continental Cup clash, in October against Lewes.

Skeels is yet another academy graduate having first joined the club at u10’s, and has made a handful of appearances for Reading since.

The defender will be keen to get more minutes on the clock at The Robins having been in competition for a spot with the far more experienced summer signings Emma Mitchell from Arsenal and Deanna Cooper from Chelsea.

She was a one to watch for both Rob McGowan and Steve Gabb back in September, but sadly those predictions haven’t really come to fruition.

Fellow academy graduates Sophie Quirk also made a loan move to Championship side London Bees, while Emma Harries has had a much more successful stint in the Barclays WSL and this was confirmed last week when she signed her first professional contract for the Royals.

Next up on the calendar for Reading is an away trip to Manchester United, the game has also been selected for BBC Red button and iPlayer viewing. Whilst Bristol City are away to West Ham United. London Bees are at home to Sheffield United, both available on the FA Player, follow our handy guide to find out how to watch.
