Vanarama National League high-flyers Maidenhead United have signed former Chelsea youngster Rohan Ince to bolster their midfield.
The 28-year-old midfielder, most recently with Cheltenham Town, made his debut on Saturday as the Magpies made it five league wins in a row at Chesterfield.
Ince has some significant Football League experience, not least 72 appearances in the Championship for Brighton & Hove Albion as well as spells with Bury, Swindon Town and Fulham where he made 10 appearances.
According to GloucestershireLive, Ince had joined Cheltenham in the summer of 2019 after injury had kept him out for a year but was sent off on his debut, and an injury on his return to the squad meant he made one start in League Two before being released at the end of the season.
Maidenhead fans watching the midfielder’s debut at Chesterfield – where he deputised for the suspended James Comley – were generally impressed with his performance in the 2-1 win – Maidenhead’s fifth in a row – and a game that two Sam Barratt strikes saw them come back from a 1-0 half-time deficit.
