Former Ascot United and Bracknell Town striker Nathan Minhas has made the step back up to the Vanarama National League South.

The forward previously played for Billericay Town in the division after leaving Ascot but was snapped up by then Bracknell boss Sam Lock for the Robins Isthmian League South Central Division One campaign.

Now though Minhas has been confirmed as joining Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Minhas played 26 times for Bracknell in 2019/20 scoring 20 goals according to FootballWebPages and hit 30 in 32 games for Ascot during the 2018/19 Hellenic League season.

According to the Hampton & Richmond Borough website, Minhas and fellow forward Danny Bassett had been on trial at the Beveree and have been rewarded with deals for their performances in pre-season.

Boss Gary McCann said: “When I bought both in I genuinely wasn’t expecting to arrive at a situation where I’d keep both of them. Such has been their attitude, application and ability in training and in-game situations, I’m delighted to be able to bring both onboard permanently. The fans that have attended our recent games can see that these signings will undoubtedly add to a talented squad. Their arrivals will also put pressure on others as we move towards the start of what will be a demanding season, where we have to make every penny count in terms of budget.”
