Following a number of York Road departures, Maidenhead United have added to their squad ahead of the 2020/21 season in the shape of former Norwich City winger Josh Coley.
Coley, who played regularly for the Canaries at under 23 level, joined the East Anglian side in 2018 before a loan spell with Dunfermline Athletic in Scotland last season.
According to Scottish football site nottheoldfirm.com, Coley made seven appearances for the Pars before injury cut short his time north of the border.
Writing on social media, Coley said: “Finally able to announce I’ve signed with Maidenhead United. Very excited to get back to it! Brilliant historic club with a great set of fans.”
Announcing the news on the Maidenhead United website, Chief Scout Lee Devonshire said: “Josh is a young lad who did very well at Baldock Town thus earning a big move to Norwich back in 2018. He is a winger who has played plenty of times in the 23’s but as many young lads find, breaking into a Premier league XI is very difficult. He had a loan move to Dunfermline in Scotland only last season. He is a young man who is hungry to kick on and Norwich spoke very highly of him when we spoke to them which is important to us, so we look forward to working with him this season.”
Following the early curtailment of the season, Maidenhead confirmed the departure of Chris Dunn, Freddie Grant, James Akintunde, Shamir Fenelon, Josh Kelly, Danny Whitehall and Aron Davies from York Road.
