BetVictor Southern League South Division One side Thatcham Town have confirmed the return of midfielder Harrison Bayley.
The Kingfishers announced the signing on Christmas Eve morning, a very welcome early present for manager Danny Robinson and blues fans everywhere.
Bayley recently announced his departure from Bracknell Town where he made 68 appearances for the Robins since joining from Thatcham in the summer of 2018/19.
The former Reading FC, Hayes & Yeading United and Highmoor Ibis midfielder was part of the Thatcham team that won the FA Vase at the end of the 2017/18 FA Vase final under the Wembley Stadium arch. and was voted players player of the year that season.
Speaking to the Thatcham Town FC website, Bayley said: “I’ve returned as I gained a real connection to the club in the Hellenic League and FA Vase double winning season, where we enjoyed such long winning and unbeaten runs. It was an easy decision for me as I know the club well and have a good relationship with the people there. Some will say I’ve come back home!
“I’ve been watching a lot of match highlights and the teams looks strong – and it’s no surprise where Thatcham are in the league. I hope I can add to the quality already there, and help Thatcham win the league and get promoted.”
