Former Bracknell Town goalkeeper Chris Grace has announced his departure from BetVictor Southern Premier South.

The glovesman tweeted that travelling back and forth from North West London was becoming to much from where he lived. He wrote: “My time Hendon has come to an end, the travelling back and forth to Hendon was just becoming to much from where I live. I’d just like to thank everyone associated with the club it’s a fantastic club and one I enjoyed my time with. I wish the club all the best for the future.”

Grace’s final appearance for the the Greens came in the 2-1 win over Beaconsfield Town on Saturday 9th November, with the club confirming his departure in a post on hendonfc.net: “Based in Bracknell and with a young family, Chris has taken the decision to leave the club and find football closer to home, enabling him to spend more time with his kids.

“Our thanks go to Chris for all his efforts over the past 7 months and we wish him, his Mum Liz and his Grandad Don all the very best for the future.”

Grace had originally joined the step 3 club on dual registration from Bracknell toward the end of the 2018/19 season and signed on permanently over the summer, winning the clubs September player of the month award.
