Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side Reading City have re-signed Alfie Grant to bolster the clubs back line at The Rivermoor.

The centre back returns to the club from BetVictor Southern League Central Division side North Leigh where he made 14 appearences last season alongside brother Harry.

Grant – who played 12 times for City last season before heading to the Millers – returns with his new side facing four home fixtures in a row in the Hellenic League and Challenge Cup, starting with newly promoted Easington Sports on Saturday.

City have had an excellent start to the season and sit in fourth after winning five of their opening eight games, a far cry from the end of the 2018/19 season when the club narrowly beat the drop.
