Carl Davies makes Bracknell Town return

Davies started the season at Binfield

BetVictor Isthmian League Division One South Central Bracknell Town have re-signed their former centre-back Carl Davies.

The former Robins player/manager had gone back to another former club, Binfield, over the summer and made six appearances in the Moles impressive start to the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division season.

Davies played four seasons for Bracknell having joined from Burnham with Mark Tallentire and embarked on a trophy laden spell with the club that included the Reading Senior Cup, Hellenic League Challenge Cup twice and the Berks & Bucks County Cup.

The former club captain was appointed manager in February 2018, succeeding Jeff Lamb and Paul McGrotty, he stepped down the following November, replaced by Geoff Warner.

Binfield have had an excellent start to the season having lost just once, on Saturday to leaders Westfields.

Davies is expected to feature for Bracknell in Wednesday nights Velocity Trophy group stage tie at FC Romania.
