Reading City have made two more signings ahead of the 2019/20 Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division season.

The Scours Lane side have bolstered their defensive ranks with the addition of centre back Steve Lee from Thames Valley Premier League side Berks County, and left back Tom Browne from AFC Aldermaston.

Lee will be a familiar name locally having played for Bracknell Town’s 2014/15 Allied Counties Youth League South title winning side and made 24 appearances for County last season.

Browne has significant higher level experience with Thatcham Town where he won the Hellenic League Premier Division, Didcot Town and Hungerford Town but made 14 appearances for the Atom Men in Hellenic League Division One East last season.

He was part of the Thatcham side that reached the 2017/18 final at Wembley Stadium although he wasn’t in the match day squad. He did score in the Second Round fixture for the Kingfishers though as they beat Broadridge Heath 8-2.

City manager Simon Johnson had his say on both players with comments on Lee here, and Browne here.
