A Bognor Regis Town youngster is reportedly on his way to Scottish Premiership side Hibernian.

18-year-old Tommy Block, who played 90 minutes in both FA Trophy ties this season against Bracknell Town will, according to the Bognor Regis Observer move to Edinburgh for an undisclosed fee.

Block reportedly had two one-week trials with Neil Lennon’s side and said: “It’s a dream come true to be offered the chance of a professional contract and to do it with Hibs make me feel beyond happy because, having spent time with them, I know it is the right move for me.”

Bracknell drew both the initial fixture and replay with the Bostik League Premier Division side Bognor 2-2, forcing the Rocks to come from behind in both fixtures, eventually winning a penalty shootout.

It certainly goes to show the level of player Bracknell were up against, with a number of Football League Academy players like Portsmouth’s Bradley Lethbridge on loan at the club and the Bostik League website reporting the Rocks have already moved to sign up 17-year-old Drew Richardson on loan from Luton Town as a replacement.
