Bracknell Town player manager Carl Davies has confirmed young winger Dan Roberts has moved to Hellenic League Premier Division side Windsor on loan.

The young winger was a mainstay of Bracknell’s development side the last couple of seasons, making 11 appearances and scoring 8 goals as the Robins finished second in the Suburban League Division 1 last season.

The previous season Roberts made 23 appearances scoring 29 times and played in the Berks & Bucks County Cup Final as Bracknell beat Binfield 3-1. That season he made six first team appearances and 11 last season as Bracknell earned promotion to the Bostik League.

When asked by Football in Bracknell if the move was a season long loan – in fact a dual registration with the Hellenic League Premier Division, Davies said: “Depends how well he does. He needs a season playing men’s football and it was a mutual agreement that he plays at Windsor until he’s ready to play for us.”

Davies added that Dan Read’s appearance for Windsor was just to gain some ‘valuable minutes’.

* Bracknell have added JMA Reading FC graduate and winger Salhin Abubakar to their squad and have confirmed 15 re-signed players including Seb Bowerman and Joe Grant.
