Bracknell Town Development team’s attacker Dan Roberts has joined up with Lee Simpson on a dual registration at Thames Valley Premier League side Berks County.

And Roberts was quick off the mark for his new club, scoring in their 2-2 draw with Cookham Dean on Saturday as new manager Simpson steadily moves his side away from the bottom end of the table.

Roberts was a key part of the Robins Suburban League side last season scoring 29 goals in 23 games but has only feature 11 times this season – although he is still the teams top scorer with eight. He has also made eight first team appearances this season scoring twice added to six last season.

Development team co-manager Andy Findlay said: “Dan is on a dual registration to get him some minutes when we don’t have a Dev game or he is not in the first team but Bracknell have first call on him.”

Bracknell have strengthened for the Hellenic League promotion run in and ahead of the registration deadline, signing goalkeeper Dan Weait as cover for Chris Grace.
