Bracknell Town have signed Max Herbert on dual registration from Evo Stik Southern League side Ashford Town (Middlesex), the club have announced.

Herbert is a left back by trade but equally at home in central midfield and on the wing according to the Ashford website and joined the Tangerines initially on loan from Brentford and has also spent time with Wycombe Wanderers.

Herbert scored in Ashford’s last two games including ‘an absolute blaster of a shot that gave the visiting keeper no chance’ in the 3-1 home defeat to AFC Dunstable on 13th January and has played 19 times for American University side Lynn Fighting Knights last season and earned National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) All-Tournament recognition.

Elsewhere we understand Lee Boon has re-signed Hellenic League forms for the Robins. The former Ascot United midfielder has been playing at Combined Counties League side Godalming Town and has appeared five times including the recent 2-1 defeat to Epsom & Ewell.
