Young attacking midfielder Ben Poynter has joined Binfield from Bracknell Town and made his debut at Stubbs Lane off the bench against Brackley Town Saints on Saturday afternoon.

The Moles were beaten 2-1 and Poynter replaced Jack Broome on 56 minutes and spent nine minutes alongside fellow former Bracknell graduate George Lock who is on loan at Stubbs Lane.

Poynter had a terrific end to last season at Larges Lane scoring six goals in eight games including a fine brace against Woodley United in the league cup.

This season though Poynter has been limited to two appearances off the bench under Mark Tallentire but did score two goals in two games for Liam Day’s Suburban League side.

Poynter joined Bracknell at the start of the 2015/16 season and scored five goals for the Development Team in 15 appearances in Hellenic League Division 2 East.
