Ascot United took a step closer to the Isthmian League South Central Division One play-offs with an emphatic 6-0 home win.
The Yellas thumped Westfield with Ben Harris firing a hat-trick in front of 203 at the Racecourse Ground ensuring a place in the end of season play-offs was firmly in Jamie Tompkins sides hands.
Harris scored after 14 and 43 minutes while Harvey Harry made it 3-0 before the break in the first half with Harris completing his hat trick in the second and further goals from Anas Igozouln and Khalid Simmo.
The result means Ascot are level on 69 points with Kingstonian and Hayes & Yeading United – who shared seven goals with Binfield before coming out on top – but have a game in hand in the race to finish in the top five.
Elsewhere, Maidenhead United’s chances of staying in the Vanarama National League were both enhanced – the Magpies won 2-0 at FC Halifax Town – and subdued after Boston United won 1-0 at home to Altrincham.

The Robins are five points clear of the drop with three to play while in Division One South Thatcham Town’s chances of staying up are almost up after a 3-1 defeat at Willand Rovers.
In the Combined Counties League Premier Division North, Berks County are relegated barring a five goal defeat for Risborough Rangers in their final game of the season against North Greenford United. The Swords drop into the relegation zone came after Edgware & Kingsbury beat Wokingham Town 2-1.
In Division One, Woodley United can take survival to the wire after a 3-1 win at home to Chalfont St Peter. Ousman Darboe, Dylan Clark and George Day all scored for the Kestrels who are seven points from safety with games in hand and four to play.
