Binfield’s survival chances in Isthmian League South Central Division One are on an upward trajectory after a 5-0 win in a ‘six pointer’ with Chipstead.
The Surrey side are the team Binfield need to ‘run faster than’ to avoid the drop with the gap to safety cut to seven points.
Binfield signed goalscorer Mitchell Parker and midfielder Connor Holland in midweek and both proved their value, netting in the win at home to the Chips.
Rahzir Smith-Jones, Ethan Lindo and Charlie George were also in the scoresheet.
Meanwhile Binfield’s Berkshire neighbours Thatcham did the Moles a favour, beating Ashford Town (Middlesex) 1-0.
