Burghfield and Maidenhead Town will contest the final of the 2023/24 Berks & Bucks FA Charles Twelftree Trophy after beating Thames Valley Premier League rivals in the semi-finals.

Burghfield earned their final spot, beating title chasing Windsor & Eton 1-0 at Stag Meadow in front of a crowd of over 400. At the start of the season it was the Fielders who featured in the Royalists first competitive game at home – a 0-0 draw in front of a crowd of over a 1,000.

The only goal of the game came from Jordan Cox on the 39th minute while both sides were reduced to 10-men on the hour with Burghfield goalkeeper Ben Lallament sent off. For Windsor it was Conor Alisson who was dismissed.

As far as Football in Berkshire is aware, it will be a first senior County Cup Final appearance for both sides. Congratulations to all involved with Burghfield and Maidenhead.
