Southern League Premier Division South Bracknell Town’s reign as Berkshire’s FA Cup kings continued after a 3-1 Third Qualifying Round win over Poole Town.

Bracknell left it late but, roared on by the Robins faithful secured an injury time win at the South Coast side thanks to nerves of steel (times two) from the penalty spot and undoubtedly relieve a little pressure at Bottom Meadow.

Ashley Lodge struck first for Bracknell in the first half with Poole levelling just before the break.

With tension mounting and the clock ticking down, the Robins were awarded a penalty with minutes left which was dispatched by Nana Owusu while shortly after substitute Ben Harris scored from the spot after Joe Grant was brough down.

The win means the Robins are in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying for the sixth time in the clubs history and for the second season in succession.

Elsewhere, Slough Town are in the hat, but only thanks to the heroics of on-loan Cardiff City goalkeeper Rohan Luthra.

Luthra pulled off a series of impressive stops with the clock ticking down as Southern League Salisbury also had a goal disallowed late on for offside.

The replay will take place at Arbour Park on Tuesday night.

Hungerford Town’s FA Cup run is over however after the Crusaders were beaten 5-0 at Vanarama National League South Torquay United.
