Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division North Ascot United saw off Cribbs 2-1 in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup on Friday night.

The Yellamen gave a competitive debut to former Reading FC goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown while goals came from Usman Lalustani and new signing Brendan Matthews.

Lalustani struck in the first half, side-footing hole a cross just before half time and he provided the assist for Matthew early in the second half to make it 2-0.

Cribbs were down to 10 men for the final 20 minutes after a red card but pulled one back from the penalty spot to ensure a tense final 10 minutes but it is Ascot who advance to play either Risborough Rangers or Holyport.
