Slough side Britwell have won a historic first ever East Berks Football League title after beating Hype Train 4-1 at the Chicken Ranch on Wednesday night.

Britwell’s title challengers Singh Sabha and Old Windsor both still have a game to play but the new title holders impressive five-match winning streak scoring 24 goals has ultimately sealed a maiden league triumph.

Hype Train’s Leon Mannion scored a late consolation for the away side but strikes from Bryan Taylor, Connor Hartridge and a Craig Kelly double sealed the title triumph.

Britwell joined the top tier of the EBFL in 2018/19 after finishing second in Division One the previous year, finishing seventh of eight in their opening season.

The side finished eighth the following year but 2020/21 saw them run Singh Sabha all the way with a final day winner-takes-all decider defeat to the eventual champions.
