It’s tight at the top of the Thames Valley Premier League Premier Division with five sides within eight points of each other and varying numbers of games in hand.
Westwood Wanderers are currently in control at the top on 26 points while Berks County sit a place behind on 23.
Reading City under 23s, Maidenhead Town and Newbury make up the rest of the pack but there isn’t a lot in it up and down the division.

Thames Valley Premier Division
Finchampstead 3 – 1 Woodcote
Finch extended their unbeaten run to four games against Woodcote. Ellis Willet and James Payne with a brace the goalscorers for the home side. Paris Ruiz scored Woodcote’s consolation. After this result Finchampstead have gone above Woodcote and are now in sixth position.
Westwood Wanderers 4 – 1 Windlesham United
Wanderers move to the top of the table with a solid 4-1 victory over Windlesham United. A brace apiece for Matty Evans and Ross Storrar were enough for Westwood to take all the points. Windlesham’s goal was scored by Jay Hardwick.
Westwood have now not lost in the league since their 1-0 defeat to Woodcote in August.
Berks County FC 3 – 2 Wraysbury Village
10 man Wraysbury Village lost at the Ryeish Green Sports Hub on Saturday. Goalscorers for Wraysbury were George Dewhurst and Darren Kuti. County are now 2nd in the Thames Valley Premier League table.
Burghfield FC 1 – 0 Richings Park
Burghfield emerged narrow victors at Burghfield Rec on Saturday. Burghfield’s goal was scored in the 20th minute by Dominic McKenzie.
Woodley United Royals 1 – 2 Mortimer
Mortimer’s resurgence continued at Woodley on Saturday with a 2-1 victory over Royals. Lamin Ceesay scored to put Royals ahead but Mortimer equalised and a penalty just before half-time was enough to hand the Villagers all three points.
Royals boss Jamie Williams took the side for the last time as he and assistant Rachael Laws now step up to lead the Woodley first team.
Maidenhead Norfolkian Senior Cup
KS Gryf 1 Maidenhead Town 1 (Ks Gryf win 5-4 on penalties)
Town lost out on penalties to East Berkshire League side KS Gryf on penalties on Saturday. Maidenhead Town’s goal was scored by Mitchell Burley.
