Binfield had a bit of swagger going forward on Monday night as they dispatched Ardley United 4-2 at Hill Farm Lane in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division.

Danny Horscroft opened the scoring after just seven minutes for Binfield but the visitors hit back straight from kick off.

Josh Helmore then intervened with two goals in 11 minutes as the Moles forward line gained a bit of swagger, scoring on 23 and 34 minutes to give the Moles a seemingly unassailable 3-1 half time lead.

The Football in Berkshire man of the match Asa Povey made it 4-1 on the hour but Ardley pulled another one back and had further chances while Helmore almost had his hat trick but his strike cannoned back off the bar.

On Tuesday night, Reading City recorded a big win at Virginia Water, coming away with a 4-0 win while Windsor were beaten 3-2 at Flackwell Heath who recovered quickly from Saturday’s FA Cup defeat. Windsor’s goals came from George Gould and Dylan Ive.

In the Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup Ascot United blew Frimley Green away in extra time with a 7-3 win after the two sides were level at 3-3 at full time.
