Bracknell Town romped to victory in the Bostik League South Central Division One on Tuesday night despite playing for 70 minutes with 10 men.

The Robins, who started with Chris Grace in goal, beat Uxbridge 4-0 at Larges Lane and lead 1-0 after Liam Ferdinand’s 18th minute penalty.

Two minutes later though their chances of taking the points took a significant dent when new signing Jordan Brown was sent off for a late challenge.

Uxbridge couldn’t make the numerical difference count though and on 66 minutes Adam Cornell’s persistence paid dividends as a clearance form former Bracknell goalkeeper Paul McCarthy hit the striker and he was able to side foot home.

The game was safe nine minutes later when Jamie McClurg headed a rebound from his own shot and Joe Grant wrapped things up on 86 minutes with Bracknell’s fourth to ensure there was no ‘manager of the month curse’ at Larges Lane.

In the Vanarama National League, Maidenhead United left if very very late to earn a valuable point in the battle against relegation as Alfie Kilgour scored a 95th minute equaliser at home to Dagenham & Redbridge.

The Magpies, who are 18th in the division and six points clear of the drop zone went behind on 85 minutes but Kilgour made sure the points were shared.

Eversley & California were beaten 1-0 in the Combined Counties League Division One, beaten by Bagshot in a game which marked the return of former Boar Bradley Brown to the club with his new side.

Finally, floodlight failure put paid to Windsor’s Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division tie with Flackwell Heath. The fixture at Stag Meadow was abandoned on 38 minutes.
