Bracknell Town’s game against Reading U23s wasn’t the only match in tbe Berks and Bucks Cup taking place on Tuesday evening with Windsor hosting Flackwell Heath in a Berks & Bucks FA County Senior Cup Second Round tie.
Connor Shingleston opened the scoring for the Royalists from a Dan Roberts assist before Mo Ceesay equalised for Flackwell Heath a few minutes before half-time.
There were no goals scored in the second half and with the game ending 1-1 at 90 minutes the game went straight to penalties. The away side Flackwell Heath emerged victorious from the shootout winning 4-3.
The Heathens join MK Dons, Hungerford Town, Slough Town, Reading U23s, Marlow and Aylesbury United in the Quarter Finals.
Maidenhead United’s trip to Holmer Green is the remaining tie from the 2nd Round and will be played on 4th December.
Reading City’s recent difficulties continued with a 3-0 loss at Abingdon United in the Hellenic League Premier Division.
A brace from Thomas Butler and a goal from Nathan Baker were enough to see the home side take away all three points. It was announced this morning that manager Rob Creech will be leaving his role as manager of Reading City and the club will be searching for another manager.
In the Hellenic League Subsidary Cup Group B match at Summerleaze, Holyport defeated AFC Aldermaston by six goals to nil.
Holyport were leading 1-0 at half-time but a strong second half saw the home side run away with it. Holyport now have 13 points and have secured top spot in Group B. The Atom Men will await results from games between Holyport and Wokingham to see if they advance to the latter stages.
