Bracknell Town through in League Cup and Minhas strikes again

Bracknell Town are through to the Second Round of the Velocity Trophy after a 3-1 win over Horsham at Larges Lane on Tuesday night.

The Robins led after 18 minutes through Gavin James and held the lead until the 57th minute when Rob O’Toole equalised for the visitors.

It wasn’t long before Bracknell were back in front though when Adam Cornell headed home Jamie McClurg’s free kick and Kane Fitzgerald made it safe on 81 minutes.

There was a change in goal for Bracknell as well, Chris Grace returning to the starting line up having played on Monday night for Binfield against Reading City where he is on dual registration.

Down the London Road, Ascot United earned a 4-0 win over Holmer Green at the Racecourse Ground with Nathan Minhas firing yet another hat trick while Dan Price fired home the Yellamen’s fourth.
