Only four fixtures escaped postponement this weekend in the Bracknell Sunday League as this week’s poor weather put paid to many fixtures during the week.

FC Fernhill made the long trip to Milton Keynes for a tricky quarter final tie in the Berks & Bucks Sunday Intermediate Cup against Eagle Athletic, flying high in the Milton Keynes Sunday League, but came away with an impressive 4-2 win that takes them to the semi-final stage. They will face Aylesbury Flooring on Sunday 4th March.

Finchampstead Athletic moved menacingly into 3rd place in the Premier Division with a 3-0 win against Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW who themselves have yet to register a point in their first season at this level. Finch are now just 4 points behind leaders Crowthorne Inn with a game in hand.

In Division 3 two in-form teams went head to head and Bearwood Wanders and Silver Birch shared the points after a 2-2 draw. That result cements the teams’ positions in 4th and 5th positions respectively.

The one remaining game played, in Division 4, saw Finchampstead Athletic A and Bracknell Royals draw 2-2. That draw means Finch stay top and Royals displace Silver Birch A for 2nd place.
