Sandhurst Town manager Luke Turkington made a rare appearance on the field on Tuesday night, but his goal wasn’t enough to give the Fizzers the points at home to Virginia Water.

Turkington started up front alongside Charlie Oakley and equalised for the Fizzers on 47 minutes after the visitors had taken the lead through Daniel Whatford just before the break.

Dan Gosling missed the chance to give Sandhurst the lead in the second half, his 30 yard strike hitting the bar and Virginia Water scored what proved to be the decisive goal just after the hour through Adam McNamara.

Elsewhere there were several results in the Second Round of the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup with Windsor and Thatcham Town joining Woodley United in the draw for the Third Round.

Nadir Shafi and Jack Denton scored as Windsor beat Newport Pagnell Town 2-0 while Shane Cooper-Clark (2), Ross Cook and Jemel Johnson scored as Thatcham beat Marlow 4-1.
