It was an afternoon to forget for Binfield at Woodley United as former striker Ian Davies (pictured) struck twice for the Kestrels to earn Michael Herbert’s side a first ever Hellenic Premier Division three points.
Woodley went in at half time well worth their 3-0 lead thanks to a Davies double sandwiching a Jeff Brown own goal but there were opportunities for the Moles who hit the bar and the post in the opening 45 minutes.
It took a terrific Josh Howell free kick with about 20 minutes left on the clock to spark Binfield in to action but the lack of a protruding foot in the six yard box meant the chances and pressure created came to nothing until Brad Pagliaroli made it 3-2 with minutes left.
