The big Southern Region Women’s Football League Division 1 derby ended in Ascot United’s favour with a 72nd minute winner in a 3-2 win at Woodley United.
Ascot gave a second half debut to new signing Elicia Mulvaney but it was Woodley who struck first on the half hour mark through Rebecca Lowes.
Hannah Evans hit back shortly after for the Yellawomen to send the sides in level at half time.
Ascot lead on 64 minutes through the divisions top scorer Lucy Holzman-Clarke but the home side restored parity two minutes later through Rosie Page-Smith.
With less than 20 minutes left on the clock though, there was one more twist as second half substitute Emma Wallace won the points for the visitors ensuring Ascot a third straight win – keeping the yellows in touch with the division leaders.
