Bracknell Town under 21’s got their Suburban Challenge Shield campaign off to a flying start with a 3-2 Group A win over Hartley Wintney on Tuesday night.

Ben Hall scored twice for the young Robins at Larges Lane while the sides top scorer Dan Roberts nabbed the winner for Liam Day’s side.

The Robins had to come from 2-1 down at half time but Hall and Roberts proved more than a match for their Central Division rivals.

It was the first game in the Shield Group of four – there are four groups in total (two with four teams, two with five teams) with each team playing each other once (as far as we can see..) – and Bracknell have been drawn against Hartley Wintney, Leatherhead and Westfield.

Bracknell host Westfield on 7th February and visit Leatherhead on 27th February.

And in one of those coincidences that the fixture list brings, the young Robins next fixture is at home to Westfield on Saturday in the league. You can see the latest Suburban League Central Division table here.
