Bracknell Town crashed out of the Perpetua Press Hellenic Floodlit Cup at the Quarter Final stage with a 3-1 defeat at Ardley United.

In difficult conditions on a heavy pitch, Joe Grant opened the scoring for the Robins on 15 minutes but United equalised two minutes later through Nathaniel Lewars and he scored again on 42 minutes.

An own goal on 50 minutes then put the game beyond Bracknell Town and Ardley move in to the semi-finals where they will face the winners of Bicester Town vs Royal Wootton Bassett Town.

Robins boss Mark Tallentire fielded a strong line up for the tie, making two changes with Callum Whitty and Alex Rodrigues coming in for Damien Smith and Kensley Maloney but while Bracknell have become used to swatting sides aside, the defeat will come as reminder of the tough road ahead if they are to lift the Hellenic Premier League title.

Oh and they face Ardley home and away in the league.
